Order flow = cash flow

The core idea in all of our solutions is the legacy idea: improving order flow by minimizing downtime. This measurement can be applied across the entire organization – from order receipt (office processes) to production and logistics, all the way to order completion and delivery.

The primary goal of this measurement is clear: identify where and why orders are delayed, so you can address the major bottlenecks and reduce downtime at the critical points.

With smart.box, you gain insight into the order flow of all orders. This gives you insight into the waiting time of orders between operations and the causes of planned and unplanned downtime for each operation.

If I can add value, I press the green button. This can be value through a machine, a person or a combination. This provides the organization with visibility into how much time is being spent on value-added activities.

The oranje color represents planned waste and downtime, such as changing machines, necessary quality controls and planned work meetings. The red or unplanned waste are those activities that are not included in the pre-calculation, they lead to order downtime and a longer lead times. Red includes the frustrations of employees, tackling these increases support within the organization.
